Child Help Foundation Marks 15 Years of Empowering Lives with ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ Initiative

Mumbai, 28th October ’25: Child Help Foundation (CHF), one of India’s leading non-profit organizations dedicated to child welfare and humanitarian aid, is reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding and empowering girls through education, health, and dignity. On the occasion of its 15th Foundation Day, CHF will celebrate under the theme “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.”

Mr. Rajendra Pathak, Founder and Managing Trustee of Child Help Foundation (CHF), established the organization in 2009 with a simple yet powerful conviction — that no child should be deprived of care or opportunity. Over the past 15 years, this vision has grown into a nationwide movement, positively impacting the lives of over 55,67,273 individuals across 26 states and union territories.

Over the years, Child Help Foundation has made remarkable progress in ensuring that every child has access to healthcare, education, and dignity. Through its Emergency Medical Program, 805,435 children suffering from life-threatening illnesses such as cancer and heart disease have received life-saving treatment. The Swasth Se Shiksha Tak initiative has supported 537,726 children in continuing their education, while the Zero Hunger Program has provided over 26.44 million meals, ensuring no child has to study on an empty stomach.

At the heart of Child Help Foundation’s (CHF) mission lies a strong commitment to women’s empowerment and gender equality. The organization has positively impacted over 3,07,829 women through initiatives such as self-defense workshops, gender-sensitivity awareness sessions, and leadership development programs. In its effort to uphold dignity and respect for women in all professional settings, CHF also works to make corporate workplaces safer and more inclusive by organizing POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) training sessions.

“Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is not just a theme for us — it is a mission we live by every day. We are dedicated to ensuring that every girl child is protected, educated, and empowered to become a leader of tomorrow.” said Mr. Jiji John, executive director of CHF.

In addition to its core focus on child welfare, the Child Help Foundation (CHF) has actively contributed to community development and sustainable growth. Through its WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Program, CHF has installed over 1,27,005 water purifiers and 102 toilets, ensuring access to clean drinking water and sanitary facilities for underserved communities.

The Foundation has extended support to more than 1.14 million individuals through disaster relief and emergency response efforts, providing timely aid during floods, cyclones, and other natural calamities. CHF has also launched environmental initiatives such as coastal cleanup drives and plantation projects to safeguard marine ecosystems and restore ecological balance.

Furthering its commitment to long-term development, CHF has implemented livelihood programs like Bazaar Haat and Gulabi Gaon, which have helped 2,187 villagers achieve consistent income and long-term financial independence.

Reflecting on the journey, Mr. Rajendra Pathak, Founder and Managing Trustee of Child Help Foundation (CHF) said, “When we first began this journey, we never imagined the extent of the impact we would create. Today, thanks to the unwavering dedication of our volunteers, partners, and supporters, millions of children and families see Child Help Foundation (CHF) as a beacon of hope.

Our true measure of success will be when every girl child not only survives, but thrives—safe, educated, and empowered to chase her dreams”.

He further said, “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is not just a slogan for CHF; it’s a promise we uphold every single day. This journey has only been possible because of your trust and support. Let us continue working together to bring joy, healing, and hope to children across India”.

As CHF enters its sixteenth year, the organization is poised to scale its impact nationwide through several new initiatives. These include the establishment of computer and STEM labs in public schools to nurture creativity and innovation among students. Additionally, CHF plans to raise awareness around the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Acts by educating children about respect, safety, and appropriate personal boundaries.

As it celebrates this significant milestone, the organization extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers, government bodies, corporate partners, and CSR collaborators for their unwavering support throughout the years.
