Noida,October 14, 2026: IMS Design & Innovation Academy (IMS DIA) has announced the official launch of DIA Design Labs, a comprehensive, browser-based suite of free interactive tools, games, and simulators built for design students, aspirants, and creative professionals.
Designed and curated by IMS DIA faculty around real studio topics, the new platform bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice. Operating seamlessly across mobile devices and desktop computers without requiring any sign-up or downloads, DIA Design Labs provides instant feedback and challenge-based learning across five major design disciplines: Fashion Design, Communication Design, Jewellery Design, Interior Design, and Luxury Product Design.
The initial rollout features eight interactive labs tailored to core creative concepts, including:
- Colour Theory Lab: Build colour harmonies, check contrast and colour-blind safety, and export custom palettes.
- Composition Facility: Apply the golden ratio, rule of thirds, golden spiral, and other composition guides with smart image cropping and instant scoring.
- Exposure Triangle Simulator: Master aperture, shutter speed, and ISO on a virtual camera with live histograms and real-time depth of field and noise rendering.
- Croquis & Spatial Games: Practice figure proportioning, room planning, lighting calculations, and crowd flow dynamics through gamified challenges.
- Specialised Industry Calculators: Utilize professional-grade tools like the Gem Cut Light Simulator and the Metal, Karat & Casting Calculator.
Speaking on the launch of the initiative, Chirag Gupta, Vice President, IMS DIA, said “At IMS DIA, we believe that design is a craft best learned by doing.
