Mumbai, 21st October 2026: Entrepreneur, Ex-Googler, Real Estate Developer and Author Deep Malhotra has launched Gemini Real Estate Fund, a new real estate proprietary fund built around a simple philosophy:
“We don’t simply buy or build buildings. We assemble real estate businesses. For us building is just the beginning.”
The proprietary fund brings together land, capital, brands and execution to create and scale opportunities across hospitality, commercial real estate, mixed-use developments, education and healthcare.
With over two decades of entrepreneurial experience, Malhotra has built a career spanning real estate, technology, digital media, managed spaces and hospitality. His technology journey includes being part of the founding team of Google India and the founding team of MySpace India, giving him a perspective that combines traditional real estate with technology-led business building.
Through Gemini Group, Malhotra has been involved in developing multiple residential and commercial projects across Mumbai. He has also built experience in managed commercial spaces through Gemini New Media Ventures, creating environments for businesses, entrepreneurs and startups.
Malhotra is the author of Brick, Cement & Dotcom: The Unspoken Dark Realities of Entrepreneurship, drawing on his experiences across real estate, technology and entrepreneurship.
A recent example of his approach is the launch of Bloom Hotel Chembur, developed under a built-to-suit model in partnership with the Bloom Hotels, bringing together real estate development and an operating hospitality brand to create a functioning hotel business.
With Gemini Real Estate Fund, Malhotra is now bringing these experiences together into a single platform focused on creating businesses around real estate, not simply buildings.
