India’s travel industry is changing rapidly. With more young Indians choosing to explore new destinations, the way people plan and experience travel is evolving too.
At the centre of this journey is Yash Khanduri, Founder of TOURSNAPS INDIA, a travel brand built around a simple idea — travel should be accessible, exciting and hassle-free.
Interestingly, Yash’s entrepreneurial mindset started much before TOURSNAPS INDIA. Since childhood, he would often tell his parents, “Mujhe job karne wala nahi, job dene wala banna hai.” That thought stayed with him and eventually became the foundation of his entrepreneurial journey.
A Journey That Started Before Travel
During his school years, Yash started freelancing alongside his education, working on accounts handling, ITR and GST filing, double-entry accounting and other financial work.
When that work eventually came to an end, he explored another field. He learned software installation, virus troubleshooting, anti-malware installation and technical support, along with hardware-related work.
These experiences taught him an important lesson — opportunities may change, but the ability to learn and start again never goes out of value.
His journey eventually took him into the travel industry, where he worked with a travel company and gained hands-on understanding of the business.
However, due to office-related issues, he left the organisation. He later joined another travel company, but was eventually asked to leave citing performance-related reasons.
Instead of giving up, Yash decided to start again.
2024: Starting With His Own Brand
In 2024, Yash entered the market once again — but this time with something that was completely his own: TOURSNAPS INDIA.
The timing was significant. Group travel was becoming increasingly popular among young Indian travellers looking for affordable, social and experience-driven holidays.
Yash recognised this growing opportunity and positioned TOURSNAPS INDIA around accessible group travel, with packages starting from 5,999 onwards.
Manali and Jibhi became among the destinations that helped shape the brand’s early offerings and connect it with the growing demand for Himalayan group trips.
The focus was not simply on selling a package, but on creating an easier and more memorable travel experience.
From 5,999 Packages to Building a Market Presence
Starting a travel company is one thing; establishing yourself in a competitive market is another.
TOURSNAPS INDIA focused on understanding what modern travellers actually wanted — affordable pricing, popular destinations, organised group experiences and a smoother travel-planning process.
Over time, the brand built its presence in the market and expanded beyond its initial group-trip offerings.
One of the most significant milestones came from an unexpected comparison.
The company where Yash had once worked was no longer simply a part of his past.
Within two years, the former employee had built TOURSNAPS INDIA into a competitor in the same travel market.
For Yash, it was a reflection of how far persistence and the willingness to start from zero can take an entrepreneur.
Growing Beyond Group Travel
While group trips played an important role in establishing TOURSNAPS INDIA, the brand’s vision extends much further.
Its domestic travel portfolio now covers destinations across Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kashmir, Nepal, Bhutan, Meghalaya, Spiti and more.
On the international side, TOURSNAPS India is expanding its offerings across destinations including Bali, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and more.
The objective is to create travel experiences that cater to the evolving preferences of Indian travellers — from affordable group getaways to domestic explorations and international holidays.
Building a Brand Around Experiences
Today’s travellers are looking for more than just a hotel booking or an itinerary. They want experiences, memories and stories they can take back home.
TOURSNAPS INDIA aims to be part of that journey by combining affordability, convenience, destination variety and experience-driven travel.
For Yash Khanduri, however, the journey is still bigger than travel.
What started with freelancing during school, followed by multiple professional chapters and setbacks, eventually led to building a brand of his own.
From wanting to create jobs as a child to creating a travel company as an entrepreneur, Yash’s journey is a reminder that sometimes the biggest setback can become the starting point of something much bigger.
And that is the story behind TOURSNAPS INDIA — built from scratch, driven by persistence, and created with the ambition to help more Indians travel, explore and create memories.
